Botox® and Juvederm®

BOTOX® AND JUVEDERM®

If you would like to have a more youthful appearance, especially after dental treatment, Botox® is a great option for reducing fine lines and wrinkles in the face. Botox® works by temporarily blocking nerve signals to muscles and, over time, smoothing facial skin. Because of how Botox® affects facial muscles, it is also a therapeutic treatment for headaches, TMJ, and jaw clenching.

Dentists are a great choice if you want either cosmetic or therapeutic Botox® treatment. Their unique training in facial anatomy and aesthetics helps ensure that your treatment is accurate and reliable. Botox® is a virtually painless and fast procedure that involves injecting Botulinum toxin into certain facial muscles to cause paralysis. Results generally show after several days or sometimes up to two weeks after treatment.

COSMETIC BOTOX®

Cosmetic Botox® procedures are common for patients who want to look more youthful. Many patients choose to accompany their cosmetic dental procedures, such as a smile makeover, with Botox®. Cosmetic Botox® treatment helps minimize forehead lines, crow’s feet, and frown lines.

If you have a “gummy” smile and don’t like how much upper gum tissue shows when you smile, Botox® can also help. Treatment weakens the muscles around your upper lip, causing it to move less when you smile, so less gum tissue shows.

THERAPEUTIC BOTOX®

These procedures are also ideal for treating TMJ headaches and pain due to jaw clenching and grinding. Results of therapeutic BOTOX can last for several months, providing relief from pain, stiffness, and soreness in the jaw and facial muscles.
